The #PharmGradWishList leadership and advisory teams are pleased to announce the 2021 Pharmacy Residency Scholarship Program!
The residency application and interview process is associated with significant costs and financial burden, including but not limited to application fees, travel to national conferences, and interview travel expenses. The costs for applications alone can be prohibitive to many students seeking postgraduate training. We are pleased to offer scholarships up to $500 to graduating fourth year minoritized student pharmacists this fall to help offset these expenses!
Information for Applicants
In order to apply, please complete the application form which can be accessed through the link below. The application will include information regarding your background, financial need, extracurricular and leadership involvement, as well as a personal statement. For the personal statement, please explain what your current plans are for postgraduate training along with short-term and long-term career goals as well as how why you believe this scholarship will help support your future career goals. You may also use this statement as an opportunity to provide any information not previously supplied that would support your application. Please note the 500 word limit for the personal statement.
Applications will be due September 30th, 2021 at 11:59 PM PDT. Applications will be reviewed and awardees should anticipate notification in mid-November.
Information for Sponsors
The PGWL Residency Scholarship will be provided through a series of GoFundMe campaigns. Each campaign will solicit up to $500 and will be replaced by a new campaign once the goal has been reached. The funds will be retrieved directly by each award winner. We hope to offer at least 5 scholarships, but if the generosity of sponsors allows, we will be able to support even more winners!
