We are pleased to announce a new travel award in conjunction with American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Foundation for racially and/or ethnically minoritized trainees currently enrolled in pharmacy school and seeking post-graduate training, residency or fellowship!
The ASHP Midyear Travel Award Program will provide a stipend of $500 to at least 30 current PharmD candidates expected to graduate in Spring 2024. The stipend is designed to offset travel expenses associated with attending the 2023 ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting & Exhibition.
Eligibility:
Current PharmD candidate enrolled in their final professional year at an ACPE-accredited Pharmacy School based in the United States and territories
Expected graduation from pharmacy school in Spring 2024
Self-identification with racially and/or ethnically minoritized group(s)
Seeking post-graduate training, residency, or fellowship
Each selected awardees will receive the following:
Full-meeting registration for the 2023 ASHP Midyear meeting in Anaheim, CA, Dec 3 - 7, 2023
A stipend of $500 to support travel expenses
1-year ASHP student membership
Recognition via electronic communications through ASHP official channels and during the ASHP Foundation Donor event at the Midyear meeting
This travel award will replace the PGWL Annual Residency/Fellowship Scholarships for this year. In partnering with ASHP Foundation, we hope to expand our vision to support as many minoritized trainees as possible. ASHP Foundation has pledged to fund 30 awards. We continue to ask the pharmacy community to support our trainees - all donations will fund additional travel awards.
